Je functie

As a billing assistant, you'll support the finance team with accuracy and attention to detail. Your main tasks include:
  • Assisting in the preparation and distribution of monthly proformas.
  • Drafting, finalizing, and issuing invoices and credit notes, ensuring compliance with client agreements.
  • Helping senior billing staff validate and set up new matters.
  • Keeping billing information up-to-date in the database.
  • Supporting finance meetings with data preparation and occasional attendance.
  • Generating time, billing, and client reports; handling e-billing submissions and tracking approvals.
  • Assisting with bill re-issues and amendments in coordination with accounts receivable.
  • Providing excellent service to lawyers and staff while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Managing time/cost transfers, write-offs, and ensuring VAT/Solicitors Accounts Rules compliance.
  • Performing administrative tasks like scanning, filing, and general support.

Je profiel

  • bachelor level of thinking
  • ideally a first experience in billing or accounts receivable or a related field
  • excellent level of English
  • good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel (formulas, tables, calculations)
  • highly numerate and strong attention to detail
  • understanding of electronic billing tools and VAT regulations
  • good interpersonal skills for interacting with the lawyers and other co-workers
  • analytical and structured way of working
